Marmellar, an abandoned village in the El Montmell-Marmellar mountains, reflects the rural depopulation of Spain. With a history dating back to 1023, the village was deserted by the late 1970s. Today, a plan for temporary repopulation is proposed, integrating sustainable agroforestry and traditional practices like transhumance. This approach aims to revive agricultural and cultural heritage, blending memory and innovation to create a sustainable, community-driven future.
Project done in collaboration with Lorenzo Uribe and Javier Fernandez Jimenez for the Premio Felix Candela.
